How to fit a brighter painting into a neutral-colored interior?
Share
Before I start, I'll just add that there are two "camps", one that doesn't combine art with interior design - the other that does.
So today, useful advice for those who find it safer, more comfortable, and more beautiful when a painting fits into the interior and finds connection and harmony with other interior decor elements.
I often encounter situations where people live in white houses or neutral-colored interiors, but want to bring in more colors.
How to do it simply?
First of all - if you have decided that you want a brighter picture - that is where you can start.
Choose colors that are close to you, and then combine other decor elements based on them, often just a few of which are enough to give the room a completely new look, a new mood, and make you happy.
I will give you many examples of how the same room changes by changing the painting and small decorative elements such as cushions on the sofa, different coffee table decor, and so on.
NO - for boredom. :) Change, play with colors, experiment, admire, discover your home in a new way, that's what I wish you.
In this photo, there is a painting in green tones hanging, rosemary on the table, and a green cushion on the sofa.
Simple truth?
Almost identical situation. The blue and green decor complements the colors of the painting and thus creates a connection between them.
And here is the same room with a completely different mood, different colors. The peach, pink, yellow and green shades of the painting are a true harbinger of spring. A little decor in these colors and you can see the result.
Here it is boldly complemented with blue, purple, and red tones.
And here we are again on the topic of peach tones.
The same room with bright cyclamen and green accents. If you remove everything, you'll only be left with white and gray. I think these examples are enough to show how easy it is to change the mood of a room with the help of color and how easy it is to combine a painting in an interior.
A little bit of yellow and the golden strokes seem to stand out.
And here, a slightly different decor was chosen for the same painting. Brown and blue details were chosen. A light nautical, holiday theme.
